Website Quality Checklist for Nairobi Businesses
Run this on your own site in about 20 minutes. If it fails several points, you have a business problem — not a “SEO fine-tuning” problem.
Five areas, plain checks. Score yourself honestly.
1. Mobile & speed
- Loads in under ~3 seconds on a real phone, not just on desktop
- Passes Core Web Vitals (only about 48% of mobile pages do)
- Text readable, buttons tappable, no invasive overlays
2. Trust
- Real reviews and clear contact details
- HTTPS / SSL active
- WhatsApp button and tappable phone number
- NAP consistent with your Google profile
3. Content clarity
- A clear headline: what, for whom, where
- One obvious CTA per page
- A page per primary service, not one vague homepage
4. AI & search
- Structured data that mirrors visible text
- Genuine FAQ blocks
- Crawlers (Google, GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot) not blocked
5. Accessibility basics
- Alt text on meaningful images
- Sufficient colour contrast
- Semantic headings in order
Consistent NAP makes you about 40% more likely to appear in the local pack, and Google indexes the mobile version first. If you fail a section, fix that before touching the design.
Frequently asked
How long does this take?
About 20 minutes for a quick pass. A full audit (accessibility, Core Web Vitals on field data) takes longer and needs tools.
What if I fail most of it?
Then visuals aren't your problem — structure, speed and trust are. Fix those first; they move enquiries.
Can you run the audit for me?
Yes — we'll score your site against this and show the numbers, with a 30/60/90-day plan to fix what matters.
