Use the native option — where it exists

Google lets verified businesses in selected regions add a WhatsApp or SMS contact option to the profile using a click-to-chat URL. Important caveat: it isn't available everywhere, so check your own profile before relying on it. If it's missing, the fallback is a very short landing page with the WhatsApp button above the fold.

Speed decides it

If the page is slow, the tap never happens. More than half of mobile visits are abandoned when a page takes over three seconds to load (Google). Fast page, button above the fold, pre-filled message — that's the whole game.
